BIKE TO WORK DAY
June 24, 6-9 am

Bike to Work Day is an annual, grassroots event that encourages commuters to leave their cars at home and ride their bicycles to work. It promotes health, reduces traffic congestion, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions.
Advent will host our annual Bike-To-Work Station on the Boulder Turnpike Bike Trail and will be greeting riders on their morning commute.
We’ll serve cold beverages and “grab-and-go” items. We expect about 60 cyclists to stop by our station.
We need some volunteers for that morning, as well as donations of grab-and-go food and beverages. Please bring some of the following items and leave them in the box in the narthex labelled BIKE-TO-WORK by Sunday, June 21.
We need the following items:
· bottled water
· juice boxes
· granola bars
· protein bars
· individually wrapped trail mix or nuts
· individually wrapped snacks (chips, pretzels, fruit snacks, dried fruit)
· individually wrapped pastries or cookies
· Note: fresh fruit (bananas, oranges, apples) must be dropped off the morning of the event
Leftover items will be passed on to the Advent Food Bank or Growing Home. Please see Tom LaRose if you have questions.
